Noctua NH-D15 CPU Cooler Review

Introduction

Noctua call this their flagship model, their premium product, meaning you cannot buy a better air cooling Noctua product. A lofty claim if it wasn’t from Noctua themselves, but basing this on their D14 means they might just know what they are talking about.

The D15 in two fan configuration is around £70 in the UK currently, which is a lot of money. It means the flagship model has a flagship price, so in a world of AIO Coolers and a vast air cooler market, this thing needs to be good. Being the claimed flagship of Noctua, it needs to be even better than that too!

From the Noctua site;

Built on the basis of the legendary NH-D14 and carrying on its quest for ultimate quiet cooling performance, Noctua’s flagship model NH-D15 is an elite-class dual tower cooler for the highest demands. Its expanded heatpipe layout and two premium grade NF-A15 140mm fans with PWM support for automatic speed control allow it to further improve the NH-D14’s award-winning efficiency. Topped off with the trusted, pro-grade SecuFirm2™ multi-socket mounting system, Noctua’s proven NT-H1 thermal compound and full 6 years manufacturer’s warranty, the NH-D15 forms a complete premium quality solution that represents a deluxe choice for overclockers and silent-enthusiasts alike.

This is probably the biggest box for any cooler we have seen. It dwarfs the Noctua NH-U9S in front, and every other cooler we have ever tested.

The NH-D15 is a flagship model in every sense, and you will get a nerd porn feeling every time you look at it or silently use it. The Noctua NH-D15 CPU Cooler in our opinion is not only the flagship Noctua, it’s the best air cooler we have seen to date, and gets out Editors Choice award.
