The MSI motherboard comes in a cool matte black finish with red accents. You cannot really go wrong with this colour scheme these days, every gamer will own this colour scheme at lease once in their lives.
This is a full ATX motherboard, supporting four PCIe 3.0 x16 slots, with support up to 3-way mode, multiple SATA ports, SATA Express, M.2, USB 3.1 and high end audio. All in all, a beautiful motherboard, excellent features.
The Killer E2205 Gigabit LAN controller is a usual MSI feature and good to see included in this release. The USB 3.1 is powered by the ASMedia ASM1142 Chipset. VIA VL805 and the native Intel X99 Chipset provide the USB 3.0 headers.
The motherboard is covered with red and black, including some thick and chunky heat sinks. We have installed a couple of coolers and an AIO set up without issue.
There a good amount of fan headers spread throughout with 2 x 4-pin CPU fan connectors and 3 x 4-pin system fan connectors.
MSI X99A Gaming 7 Motherboard Review

We really enjoyed our time with the MSI X99A Gaming 7 Motherboard. It has a feel and quality to it that gives it a bit of an X Factor, and not in the trash TV sense. The bundle is a bit naff and we felt it had been thrown into the box without much care and attention. Once it was up and running however, it was a charmer.
