Aerocool X-Predator II Full Tower Chassis Review

Admin Chassis 3798

The internal chassis is big, and probably needs the 5.25″ drive bays to keep it sturdy.  All the fan bays have installed fans as standard other than the floor section and the front panel fans are also LED fans. The large space might dwarf some motherboards, even full ATX motherboards might look a little small. There are ten PCI slots which is a lot by any form factor standard.

E-ATX motherboards with four double height slots will be able to manage quad SLi/Crossfire, with full dual PCI slot cards without any real fear of coming close to the PSU.

The rear side of the motherboard panel has a good step in it, allowing for good cable management prospects. The PSU has a little metal stabilizer at the leading edge, which also acts as a good cable duct. The front dust filter is removable and is full height, at least to the bottom of the 5.25″ drive bays.

There is only one other thing we didn't quite like and that was the cables for the top I/O panel, there’s a lot and we think Aerocool have done a good job bunching them all together, it will take a little more time than normal to route them as you want. Once done, at least for us, we could forget about them and enjoy the chassis and the benefits the top I/O panel provides.
