After researching and measuring up for a water cooling build, this area was the only real area of doubt.
A lot of sites had different advice about what could be used and a lot of PSU manufacturers were not clear on dimensions.
You may think this can’t be right, but it would appear that some manufacturers omit the less desirable design features in favour of sales. We will hopefully have some clarity for you in this review.
Internal space
Inside we find six 3.5” bay caddies which is as many as we use in our home server, pretty impressive stuff. There are also two USB 3.0 Ports and two SATA Drive bays in the door.
The PSU dust filer is not magnetically attached though slides in and out just fine.
Both HDD caddies are removable which is a nice feature. It really helps with configuring a build to be anything you want without getting out the Dremel.
Next, more internal shots.
BitFenix Phenom Mini ITX Chassis Review
Package and Bundle - 8
Build - 9.5
Price - 8
Consumer Experience - 9.5
8.8
There is not too much for us to say, we love it. This chassis is aimed at a builder who will not go SLi or Crossfire. That’s ok, the high end graphics cards can handle all games without too much of an issue, at appropriate settings. PSU and oversized components are the only issue with this chassis, and not having an optical drive, but who has one of those things!
