The final build used only the included fans, and they didn’t cause an issue for sound and provided enough air movement to keep the chassis from overheating. In the image below, you can see the height of the top panel, there’s ample room for hidden cooling in there.
Overall, we had no issues with this chassis. It appears to have a lot of potential in the right hands, and good all round in un-modded configuration.
Conclusion
The Cooltek CT GT-04 is worth consideration when looking for a gamer chassis without the cost. We didn’t take to some of the styling points, but we don’t really review a chassis for its looks, so each to their own for that one. When stripped away, the inner chassis is a strong contender for a lot of systems out there. It’s strong and has a good paint finish that feels hard wearing.
It also has some good features to get you going, it’s a bit of an all in one chassis with a card reader, an external drive dock and a fan controller all built in. It is not a Nanoxia Deep Silence 1 Rev.B level chassis, but it is not far off for some of the specifications, and stripped bare, you could be forgiven for thinking the Cooltek CT GT-04 is a higher end chassis for a low price.
If you are looking for a good starter chassis for a gamer, or something to upgrade your old beige box, this chassis is worth a look. It’s even worth consideration if you fancy attacking it with a Dremel!
