Externally, the Deep Silence 1 Rev.B is generally minimalist at first glance, everything is black with the metal surfaces having a slightly glossy finish.
The accessories and some of the HDD trays are included in a box, it all feels like high end kit, very nice touch. There are some rubber blanks and a PSU extension cable, another nice touch, other manufacturers take note.
The chassis has a good grip for taking the top panel off, the front panel is easily removed too.
The top of the chassis, a little more interesting, a single button for power, the reset switch is behind the front door. A top I/O panel with USB 2.0/3.0 and the usual headset jacks, and finally a movable top vent panel.
The rear panel has plenty of ventilation, including the PCI blanks. You can just about see from the picture above, the PSU mount has a insulating liner around the edge, including the screw holes, in order to dampen the vibrations from the PSU fan.

The chassis is very good, a real piece of hardware to be proud of. It's heavyweight as well, when you fill this up, it's going to feel like solid stone! The sound deadening really helps give a high quality feel to the chassis, absorbing more than just fan sounds, and creating a solid, expensive car door feel to the chassis.
