We did not experience the “Semi Passive” feature of the cooler, most likely because the TDP of the Intel i7-5820K is just about the recommended maximum for this cooler, so it’s getting a decent workout.
The sound performance stack is pretty consistent until the bottom, and the Freezer i32 is just above midway. If you look at the margins between the coolers in stock load conditions, they’re pretty tight. Overall the Freezer i32 is a solid performer in the sound category, and will not cause a headache during stock usage.
