Sound performance is more eye opening, with only 1 Db between idle and load. Remember, there are two fans at work using PWM, so this is all that the test rig wanted to ask for.
Still, it is nowhere near the manufactures claims of 250W TDP at max. 26.1 dB, maybe they tested it in winter!
We used the Asus Rampage V Extreme Motherboard 6 core overclock pre-set and manually set the DDR4 to 2666Mhz.
This set the core to the default base frequency of 3.3Ghz but increased the turbo to 4.4Ghz. The stability test ensured it stayed at 4.4Ghz through the test.

Back in the day you needed to research your new rig so all the parts would fit together with no physical clash issues. These days there is so much out there you will pretty much get what you need and it will fit, well not anymore! Anything higher in height than low profile memory and you will have a clearance issue with the external fan, at least in out test X99 motherboard.
