Conclusion

Noctua NF-A12x25 Fans are a step forward in technology, solving one of the most basic aerodynamic and construction issues known in the PC industry, that cannot be under estimated. Noctua is understandably proud of this and we think it’s going to be a trigger for other manufacturers to push this side of the airflow realm. The Noctua NF-A12x25 performance is good, it’s a capable fan out of the box, for both the PWM and ULN. Remember, the Kaze Flex 120 fans are PWM, so the Scythe Ninja 5 has a slight advantage over the test setup. With that in mind, the stock set up handles the benchmarking very well, even slightly beating the stock fans for the Stock thermal and acoustic performance.

We are not going to suggest you run out and replace your high-end CPU Cooler fans with the Noctua NF-A12x25 Fans, but boosting your cooling performance with a couple of NF-A12x25 Fans wouldn’t see you wrong. For a more traditional use, adding these fans to a radiator or chassis setup is going to give a very good airflow and acoustic performance, depending on the design of your chassis and its airflow, or lack of!
