The Noctua NH-U12S mug shot shows a standard single fan tower CPU cooler. Its tall narrow heatsink will help with memory compatibility but may be an issue for some chassis. Two fans can be fitted, and though not included, Noctua includes appropriate spring clips to mount a second fan.
The Noctua NF-F12 fan included is a PWM 4 pin fan, for better power management. The fan is fully isolated with rubber edge grommets preventing vibration.
The Noctua NH-U12S heat pipes are spread throughout the width of the tower heatsink, except for the very centre above the base plate. The base plate has built in screw mounts, so you don’t need to attach them during assembly.

The Noctua NH-U12S is another Noctua cooler we cannot really fault, other than as an overclocker. It's up to the usual Noctua standards, and if you buy this product, it will feel like a premier purchase, but it's not going to allow for much room in overclocking. With all that said, if you buy this now, and add a second fan later, it may be a good way to get a decent heatsink and fan on a budget and add a fan when you have the cash.
