Installation
Mounting the PH-TC12LS was simple, though you need to remove the fan. You will have memory clash issues unless you use standard height DIMMs, though as this is aimed at the small form factor market, you’ll probably be using this type of memory anyway.
The fan power cable has a nice waxy type of sheath to it and adds to the quality feel of the Phanteks cooler. Potential memory clashes aside, there is good clearance around the CPU area while still being low and compact.

As a standard CPU cooler the Phanteks PH-TC12LS is a good stock replacement from a performance standpoint. For looks alone, it's a very minimal design, but it's all well thought out and presented. We had no mounting issues, though it's going to clash with memory that has tall heat spreaders installed. As a low profile cooler it works really well. Any HTPC that has a mid-range and higher CPU will benefit from having this cooler installed.
