The eight heatpipe and dual fan configuration can be best seen from the top.
The CDC in all its glory. It is not a smooth polished finish, much like the Raijintek Themis. The Themis performed really well, so we hope this this won’t hamper performance. C.D.C allows no interference between the CPU and the heat pipes of the cooler. It comes at the risk of corrosion between all the mating surfaces, but this is generally well outside of the life of a component, by a long way.
The dullest of dull reflections can be seen. We rubbed thermal paste into the contact point first to ensure the rough surface was evened out before mounting. This will fill a good number of scratches or imperfections that may cause performance issues.

It is a good little performer, and because its a tall cooler with eight heat pipes, you do have a little more confidence it's not cooking your i5 CPU during heavy sessions. Our overclock test was approximately a 20% overclock, not the greatest, but will give you some headway in gaming and applications, without throttling the CPU due to heat, not bad for £14.99.
