Scythe Ninja 5 CPU Cooler Review

Packaging & Contents

Packaging is good, there is some high density foam to keep things protected and in place, with the two fans packaged in their own dividers to stop scratching and damage, assembly is required.

The heatsink has a cap on the top in black with a logo to make it a little more interesting. The back top cap aligns the theme of the Scythe Ninja 5 with the two Kaze Flex 120 PWM fans, making for an overall darker themed CPU cooler.

Included with the Scythe Ninja 5 is the installation material for Intel and AMD Socket CPU’s, thermal grease, fans, fan clips, installation manual, Y-PWM-cable, screwdriver. The Kaze Flex 120 PWM fans are off the shelf Scythe products, making a swap of fans for another manufacturers products or using the fans elsewhere a real possibility.

The Scythe Ninja 5 is an overclocking CPU Cooler, no doubt about that. If you are not going to overclock, it will help keep your system quiet, even under load, and with two PWM fans, you can create your own fan profiles for extra diversity.
