Palit Super Jetstream GTX 980 Ti Graphics Card Review

We have some 4K UHD test results now starting with some synthetic benchmark results. These are either native UHD benchmarks, such as 3D Mark’s own 4K ready test or a generic test run at UHD resolutions.

3DMark Professional UHD test is first and the Palit Super Jetstream GTX 980 Ti has a good lead over its stock sister and the AMD stable. We did manage to retest most of these cards with the latest drivers, noticeable exceptions to this would be the Sapphire Fury and the stock GTX 980 Ti.

Either way, the extra GPU Core speed, albeit a small lift and the extra cooling will be making a difference in this set of results, as with most. Remember though, all synthetic test should be taken with a pinch of salt, they are excellent at measuring against themselves, but small tweaks and even room temperatures can make a difference.

We keep our office at a steady 20 Degrees ºC, and always bench on the same or latest driver and firmware versions where possible.

We would suggest what you should be taking from this set of results is the Nvidia GPU core is, and was, better suited to UHD gaming, with the AMD GPU’s a close and solid second place.

It’s also important to note, if your favourite GPU maker fails to score highly in synthetic benchmarks but scores good to high performance in all gaming results, unless you are a benchmarking fan boy, it doesn’t really matter at the end of the day.

If you don't get a couple of AMD HBM  graphics cards for your rig, and would prefer a single card set up, this is the card for you. The cooling package and the GPU core speed increase impacts in a really balanced way, but always for the better. It's good-looking too, and the sound performance is as good as a GTX 970, it's only the price you need a strong stomach for. This product is recommended, however it received a lower score than usual due to the packaging issues we have seen. Get a good one and you'll love it!
