Testing Methodology
All synthetic and gaming tests are carried out several times with the best result taken. If the test is an online multiplayer, the same map is used each time and a ping constantly under 30ms is required before a test is valid. We always try synthetic and real world tests, and for graphics cards, there is no better real world test than gaming.
The results depend on several elements, internet connection, other applications running, heat and the basic specification of the chipset, CPU and memory.

We have introduced a couple of newer games in our testing cycle, Alien Isolation and Batman: Arkham Origins, a couple of excellent game titles. We always run the benchmarks several times, taking the best results and recording them on the graphs, and only with the minimum diagnostic software running to capture the results.
Synthetic Results
First we have the AIDA64 Engineer GPU results and the Zotac GTX 980 Ti AMP! Edition performs poorly, second last for memory copy and last for read and write.
We have said it before, AMD cards excel here, if you need memory performance, buy AMD. In the meantime, this is a synthetic benchmark, not to be taken likely but not a real world test. These types of benchmarks are excellent for understanding baseline performances and key performance differences. The performance highlighted may make no difference to your gaming experience. Still, AMD rule!

Our biggest issue with this card is that it's not special enough. Sure a core and memory frequency increase are good as standard and the GTX 980 Ti core is excellent, but we think the only advantage in owning this card over the reference design is cooling, and therefore overclocking. You may get a good overclocking baseline out of this card due to the good cooling solution, and it will help with sound performance, but the Palit Super Jetstream GTX 980 Ti outperforms it on most tests.
