Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2666Mhz 16Gb Memory Review

PCMark Professional next and the Corsair Vengeance LPX performs well, again with XMP 2800Mhz profile question marks however. We used the Microsoft applications in this test, if you have them, test and compare with your own memory and system.

Lastly gaming, Battlefield 4 to be exact. A title that’s not known for being too hard on any system component should provide a good test for the memory. We have only compared the two XMP profiles in all tests with a more extensive memory review coming up. Again, using the stock RAM as a baseline, the 2800Mhz XMP profile is only fast in maximum FPS and otherwise seems more of hindrance to FPS overall.

Conclusion

We have been using this RAM for a very long time, and we wanted to get this one done before moving to our new and extensive reviews. Until recently we had been using this as part of our X99 test system and to be honest, without fault.

RAM is one of the main things that can mess up your system, and you’ll struggle to find the source of the issue with poor quality memory. Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 however, is globally known as some good solid RAM, and we would agree. Throughout our tests we have no freezing or crashes, speeds were good and with the exception of the XMP 2800Mhz profile, nothing to grumble about. To be honest, forget the XMP profiles if you really want to get in to overclocking RAM, and get yourselves some of this, we reckon 3000Mhz is easily achievable. Also, have a look at the prices, it’s dirt cheap too.
