PCMark08 next, and it is the same story throughout. The overclock is ahead on averages with the stock performance giving a good show as well.

Silk Road Team Death match, only the best will do! Only one venture below 60FPS both stock and overclocked other than at the round end.
We can’t see much difference in the overclocked configuration, though there are three spikes. Generally, it’s 50/50.
Conclusion
We have had this memory on the test bench for some time. We have had no issues with it, it passed all tests, we had no BSODs and memcheck had no issues. The packaging didn’t completely impress us initially, but the more we handled it, the more we could see the concept. We loved the modules, the colour scheme, silver with a black PCB, and the subtle but clear etching and fins, gave an air of understated quality. They also didn’t look out of place in our Asus Rampage V Extreme Motherboard, albeit a slight clash in colour scheme.
This memory is currently £187.19 inc. VAT on Crucial’s website which is a really decent price, considering that it is cheaper than all Corsair DDR4 on a few sites we checked. You may find an offer here and there but it is a very good starting place for 16Gb of DDR4 rated at 2400Mhz with headroom to overclock.
We didn’t push the overclock, but 200Mhz is enough to sharpen up some applications and games. With some extra volts and good cooling, 2800Mhz or even 3000Mhz should be possible, but you may need to loosen the timings a little.
Final Thoughts
Cheaper than the competition, good looking and some overclocking headroom, our couple of weeks with Crucial’s Ballistix Sport DDR4 Memory gave us no headaches and now we just want more. Or would you rather some green PCBs?
