As with the Memory Read, Write and Copy tests, Memory Latency is part of the AIDA64 Engineer application Memory test suite. Memory Latency performance is an obvious test and with an equally obvious output, lower is better. However, the numbers are always small and can seem too small to make a difference. A low Memory latency is an excellent starting point for all memory functions and will help with overall bandwidth utilization.

The Crucial Ballistix Tactical 32GB Kit is the clear winner with the Corsair Vengeance LPX 16Gb kit a good second place.  Memory timings will be letting the Corsair Vengeance LPX down at this point, it’s not just a matter of clock speeds.

PCMark08 Professional to finish the synthetic tests off and we run the full suite of tests. We appreciate some may not be relevant, but we’d rather capture all information and present it. The Ballistix Tactical 32GB Kit works well for the Creative, Storage and Home tests, but not so well in the Work and Applications tests. We used the Microsoft Office application tests and as with all our reviews, this is the 2016 Edition of Office and is fully patched.

Crucial Ballistix Tactical 32GB DDR4 3000Mhz Memory is a decent 32Gb kit. With the 3000Mhz speeds and the relatively tight timings compared to the others in the test, it offers good speed, capacity and response times for your system. Paired with a balanced system, this will only serve you well, however if you want to upgrade your system, the Crucial Ballistix Tactical 32GB 3000Mhz Kit is enough of a performance jump over a 2400Mhz kit to not notice the difference.
