The memory capacity across the motherboards is not going to be an exact reference, but it is going to give some indication of how they handle the DDR4 memory. You can check them out in our reviews section for now, on with the testing.
Ok, on with the results and PCMark08 Professional is first. We have included the EVGA Z170 Stinger as a comparison, though we only had 8Gb of RAM installed on the mITX motherboard.
The results are good but the little EVGA Z170 Stinger is keeping the Extreme4 very honest, in fact beating it in most results.
The 3DMark Professional results fare better, showing the two chipsets are on par with each other. The MSI GTX 970 GAMING Twin Frozr V is given enough bandwidth to do its job well, a couple of these cards in this motherboard would do nicely thanks.

We are a little disappointed with the ASRock Z170 Extreme4 motherboard in the performance stakes. The rest of the motherboard is very good for looks, features, presentation and connectivity. We just cannot get past the odd graphics and storage performance.
