We ran the IOMeter tests for 30 minutes per test using two different file sizes, 10Gb and 20Gb. We have 16Gb of RAM installed and we intended to push the 20Gb test to cache which will utilise the motherboard more. Firstly the 10Gb tests;

The 512b test results are cringe worthy, but normal and now out of support. Storage manufacturers moved to 4Kb in the last few years.

20Gb tests; The test results are a mixed bag but we think imperceptible to the end user. Despite a cache situation when benchmarking a 20Gb file, the  Rampage V Extreme takes it in its stride.

RAID 0 Configuration

Crystal Mark up first with a strange 50Mb write result. We repeated this several times with the same result, though the others are fairly standard.

The ADIA64 RAID Buffered Read result was 7Gb/s, we didn’t think this was right so we didn’t include the result. We ran this three times with the same outcome.

How can an overall score of four get a recommended? The Consumer Experience rating really brought the final mark down, just imagine what this would have been if there had been a little more consumer experience thinking. We haven't tested every aspect or feature of this motherboard, there is so much crammed in it wasn't possible. We stuck to the performance and the main features but you really need read and try to understand the full feature set that comes with this motherboard, it's insane.
