Our usual quarter by quarter look at the layout. We do not see any major issues, though the SATA ports have multiple cable angles due to the SATA Express and the SATA ports all being on various edges of the motherboard. You have three PWM fan headers and that’s a good thing, however, two are positioned in full view above the graphics card, and if you like cable management, that’s going to annoy you.
BIOS
Asus claim their UEFI BIOS is the smoothest and slickest mouse controlled graphics BIOS, and we’d have to agree. When we review other motherboards Bios, this is the standard we look for.

It's hard to see why Asus would call this a flagship micro-ATX motherboard, it just doesn't have the prestige or the package. We would have also thought that a flagship motherboard would have both SLi and CrossFireX support. So we are not sure on the whole flagship front, but we do like this little gem a lot. It doesn't throw any heavyweight punches, or come with amazing accessories, it's just arrives ready to go and performs really well.
