XTracGear Ripper and Ripper XXL Surfaces Review

Admin Surfaces 1296

They both feel fantastic, very smooth under the finger and has the finest and smoothest surface of any mat we have tested. We used this surface while benchmarking and reviewing the MSI GTX 970 GAMING Twin Frozr V.

The smallest of the range is still an adequate size for gaming and general usage. In the office we are a bit spoiled by the XXL, but would use the smaller size for a LAN event, it is pretty much fits perfect in a laptop bag or back pack when laid flat.

We have been testing a standard Microsoft wireless mouse without issue and a Razer Abyssus at all its configurations, from 450 Dpi 125Hz right up to 3500 Dpi at 1000Hz. The surface doesn’t hinder or cause any problems at all gaming mouse settings. Both surfaces gave an excellent gaming experience. The polished textile surface appears to create the smoothest surface we have ever seen without being a hard finish.

Surfaces don't come with much, so we can't really fault it on that front. Surfaces are a standard format and you could probably make your own. The real difference is in the finer details, which the XTracGear Ripper and Ripper XXL surfaces have an ace up their sleeve, an amazingly fast and smooth gaming surface. At this point in time, we haven't reviewed or used a Surface that surpasses the Ripper and Ripper XXL.
