Results
First up, CrystalMarkx64. We set the bench to run three times with five passes each, we then took the highest result.
Just below the 550 MB/s Read claim but 10Mb/s higher than the 333 MB/s Write claim, odd but good. Solid performance across the board.
Next, IO Meter IOPS. For all of the IOMeter tests we ran the following set up:
- Full Random
- 20Gb test file
- 30 minute per test
- 10 second warm up
With the 4Kb results above, there are higher than the manufacturer specifications of 4KB Random Read 85K IOPS and 4KB Random Write 70K IOPS.
Next, Mb/s IOMeter and PCMark 08 Storage results.
Crucial MX100 256Gb SSD Storage Review
Package - 8.5
Performance - 9
Price - 9.7
9.1
With Christmas on its way there is sure to be a price drop or sales and someone will pick up a bargain with excellent price point performance with one of these SSD's. You won't get much in the way of contents in the box, so make sure you have everything required to mount these to your rig, or even give your laptop a new lease of life, highly recommended.
