Test Setup
All synthetic tests are carried out three times with the best result taken. We used the various software’s own test count settings, so, for example, CrystalMarkx64 we ran the test count at nine, but repeated three times.
We use charts to describe the benchmark results. These use colours that can often be similar or even different shades of each colour. If this becomes hard to read, you can click on any of the review samples on the chart to remove it or add it back in.

- AS SSD Benchmark
We use several synthetic benchmarking tools, they are a synthetic reference and can have several factors either included in the test or impact the test. Therefore, we use a static and standard test system. We have dropped IOMeter, a really good test, but we primarily used it for IOPS, which is not something end users are really looking for just now.
Instead, we have replaced it with AS SSD Benchmark and will be running ATTODiskBenchmark in the future.

The DREVO D1 M.2 SSD Drive doesn't really let you down in any way. It's cache-less, so it has some performance limitations from its more mature and cache rich competitors. For its price, the cheapest we could find, and its physical size, the M.2 form factor, anyone who is wanting to upgrade their HDD without too much cost can’t really go wrong with this drive. As a first venture into the land of Solid State Drives, it ticks all the boxes.
