Think back to the first page and Lexar’s own performance expectations of up to 120MB/s read and 55MB/s write and CrystalMark shows a performance that is constantly better. Granted we do not know the file types Lexar used, but, apples for apples, CrystalMark is benchmarking with better results.
This is probably the best example of the types of performances the average user will see, and they are very good.
We thought we’d throw in a couple of AIDA Disk Benchmark results to back up CrystalMark and they in fact go a step further. Under random read testing the Lexar JumpDrive M20 is achieving a peak performance of 206 Mb/s and an average of 157 Mb/s, still well above the promoted performance expectations.
Conclusion
So what did we think? It is a superb little drive with big capacity and USB 3.0 performance, not forgetting two connectors for either your rig, or your phone. The 32Gb version we tested is only £8.99 on Amazons UK store site, and that’s very good value and news, for the end user.
It is not going to survive your washing machine or a trip outside in a rain storm, but it is going to give fast and portable storage, that also connects to your phone and keys. There isn’t much to be said for pen drives, this one is excellent, cheap and has a lot of storage, that’s about it!
