UL Solutions Benchmarks Introduces Multiplatform Procyon Office Productivity Benchmark
Earlier this month we added support to the Procyon AI computer Vision Benchmark for new AI computer vision models available in the latest version of macOS. These models allowed Apple Silicon Macs to take advantage of new performance benefits introduced in the latest versions of macOS and Core ML Tools.
Today, we are continuing to improve the macOS testing capabilities of our benchmarks with the launch of the multi-platform version of the Procyon Office Productivity Benchmark. It supports comparison between macOS and Windows and uses adjusted versions of the Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint tests from the Procyon Office Productivity Benchmark, but does not include the Outlook test.
Please note that results from this benchmark are not comparable with MP scores from Windows-only Procyon Office Productivity Benchmark, versions 1.2 and earlier. This new benchmark updates and replaces that system for better cross-platform comparison.
We recommend you use this latest version of Procyon when reviewing new macOS devices or comparing them with Windows devices. You can run the multi-platform benchmark from the Office Productivity Benchmark section of the Procyon application on Windows.
