Aerocool X-Predator II Full Tower Chassis Review

Admin Chassis 2401

There is excellent PSU clearance on this chassis, as stated, a quad graphics set up, or even just multiple dual height cards will not have an issue with airflow even for the card closest to the PSU. The non-removable motherboard tray has its openings well placed, and they have a softer rubber grommet making for a high end feel to the chassis.

The graphics clearance is very good, even with the graphics in place, a Zotac GTX 980 Ti AMP! Edition in this case, a 328.2mm length card.  If your graphics has power connection at the rear and is long, you may have an issue unless you remove the drive bays, but we don’t think many system builders will need to compromise here, meaning you will get lots of storage options and most graphics and other add-on card options too.

The CPU cooler has good clearance around it as well, though with the two fans installed you can see the rough radiator compatibility at the top. You won’t get a super fat radiator in the top, that’s going to be more suited to the front panel, but you will get a reasonably good radiator thickness in the top. If you are going for air cooling, the Cryorig H5 Ultimate CPU cooler at 160mm in height is a good size for this chassis, with the maximum height of 170mm supported, you have a little headroom before you hit the chassis door.

There is only one other thing we didn't quite like and that was the cables for the top I/O panel, there’s a lot and we think Aerocool have done a good job bunching them all together, it will take a little more time than normal to route them as you want. Once done, at least for us, we could forget about them and enjoy the chassis and the benefits the top I/O panel provides.
