BitFenix Phenom Mini ITX Chassis Review

Admin Chassis 1354

The HDD caddies are metal and slide in and out with ease. The trays are made of plastic, and seem to be of a descent quality, but I wouldn’t be too hard on them when removing and fitting. With a disk fitted, they should be fine however.

Though the core chassis has a 5.25 bay cut out and a caddie, no other feature support this, so it’s unusable unless you omit the front panel. The PSU bay has a mounting plate and the graphics mount has a good solid dual slot mount and support. All round, a good looking solid and feature packed chassis.

Some close up shots of the PSU area with rubber supports and a cut outs for cabling.

This is before we removed the lower HDD caddie, with a full modular ATX PSU the cables would foul; choose wisely. Next, a small advisory and a test installation.

There is not too much for us to say, we love it. This chassis is aimed at a builder who will not go SLi or Crossfire. That’s ok, the high end graphics cards can handle all games without too much of an issue, at appropriate settings. PSU and oversized components are the only issue with this chassis, and not having an optical drive, but who has one of those things!
