Nanoxia Deep Silence 1 Rev.B Chassis Review

Admin Chassis 2310

The Zotac Amp GTX980 Ti is a long card, the rear has a couple of inches overhang from the graphics card PCB. It fits, just, though without any drama at all, it’s going to be the comfortable limit of the chassis.

The PSU sits on rubber feet and it’s cushioned with the previously mentioned PSU mounting anti vibration lining. It all feels very solid once installed, and the cable management is easy with the available holes and their good locations.

On top the vent is easily opened, and although at first you may think it is going to be flimsy, the slider never fails to operate the vent, in a sturdy manner.

It makes for a good build and the materials compliment each other.

Conclusion

First of all the bad parts, we start with this because there are only a couple. The power for the fan controllers is a molex connector, meaning we had to install a molex PSU set of cables and we had a lot of extra cabling to hide for that reason. If there was a SATA connector used instead, it would aid cable management and produce an even cleaner build!

The optical bay is not removable, this is the norm for the average chassis, but with something so detailed as the Nanoxia Deep Silence 1 Rev.B, it seems a little like an oversight, but as with the molex connector, we are being really picky.

The chassis is very good, a real piece of hardware to be proud of. It’s heavyweight as well, when you fill this up, it’s going to feel like solid stone! The sound deadening really helps give a high quality feel to the chassis, absorbing more than just fan sounds, and creating a solid, expensive car door feel to the chassis.

The painted metal chassis is also worth a mention, it’s very custom feeling, and all in a good way. Also worth a mention is the packaging, as we said at the start, this is almost like high end audio equipment levels of security, and will certainly protect your high end chassis during transit.

The levels of internal configuration and number of features will keep you thinking about the next way to set this up. We have been running this now for a couple of weeks and are happy to report that it’s truly a silent chassis. Even with the fan controllers, which seem moderate in the power range, the fans do not contribute to the overall sound levels too much at the maximum setting. As we said at the start, it could be junk or something special, this is the latter. Overall, a recommended chassis.
