Thermaltake Core V1 mITX Chassis Review

Admin Chassis 3005

The internals are not very complicated and you will find plenty of space for a full sized modular ATX PSU, a rare thing in a mITX build.  There is ample room for access to the bottom of the motherboard once installed, so CPU cooler replacement may mean only removing the PSU.

The motherboard is installed on pre-pressed mounts on the motherboard tray, so standard risers are not used.

The front O/I panel is removable, despite this you can’t install it on the other side due to the 200mm fan position, and an issue if you swap orientations around.

Overall we are very impressed with the concept, it works very well in a mITX chassis, with few limitations.

LAN rig, SteamBox or just pushed for space in your game room, there are a lot of chassis that do it well enough, this little chassis beats some of the more expensive competition in a lot of areas, and compared to its price range, not much can touch it.
