Reeven Okeanos RC-1402 CPU Cooler Review

A walk round the Reeven Okeanos RC-1402 shows a clean and simple design familiar to most system builders and enthusiasts.

You get the usual mounting and thermal paste included, AMD and Intel are supported. A couple of extra fan clips are included too.

You also get a couple of what we would call “resistor cables”, or SSA cables (Speed Switch Adapter) providing a balance of performance and silence. These are optional so you get the choice, we do not use them when testing, it’s just raw performance managed by the motherboard.

Reeven Okeanos RC-1402 CPU Cooler

A clean CPU cooler, more a case of evolution than revolution. The cooler is shipped with one 120mm fan and a 140 fan, both PWM. This configuration of cooler is a little better at thermal transfer as the middle fan sits where heat would normally build up in a cube cooler without the middle fan cut out.

The heatsink is symmetrical and has no unique connectors on any of the sides, meaning you can pretty much set this up any way you like, space permitting.

Well, it's a relatively new name on the market for flagship coolers. The design may be more appealing and the detail may work for your system.
