NZXT H440 Mid-Tower Chassis Review

Admin Chassis 4053

Introduction

We were looking around for a chassis for a gaming build we were thinking about and we figured we needed to think about the NZXT H440. We had picked this for a watercooling build but a change of mind pushed us down a different path on that one. So, we figured this would be perfect for the gaming build and something nice and high spec.

The NZXT H440 comes in a number of colours, we went for the red and black, we wanted to use the MSI X99A Gaming 7 motherboard which is red and black as well, so the build was under way and we started to get excited!

NZXT have only been around since 2004, not long but they are past their first decade and making a name for themselves. As you have probably realised, we have the NZXT H440 for review today, in red and black, two of the most popular gaming colours out there just now, unless you like white, as we do.

The chassis comes in a nice glossy box, a bit of a unique thing these days. It is good to see and makes it feel like a quality product already.

It doesn’t use the best polystyrene, but that is not uncommon, just beware of static shocks! We open a lot of chassis packaging these days, there is always a shot straw competition for static fill plastic packaging!

This is probably a bit of a Marmite chassis, if you plan big it may just put you in your place with niggling little fitment issues, but install a Fury X and an AIO, and nothing can touch it. Your best SSD's will be on show as well, this could be a superb LAN party chassis but if you get it right, it will be the showcase of your bedroom. Recommended.
