Finally, on to the game simulations and just as the other PCMark tests, this is an application simulation on the drive as if it were an OS or local drive to the system, and not an external portable drive. We are seeing a consistent set of results throughout the PCMark test suite, very good performance but just behind the local drives in these tests.
The Lexar Portable SSD is slightly behind the Lexar Professional Workflow DD512 again for these benchmark application simulations, but not by an amount you would notice. The performance is very good for an external drive, if not excellent.
