Next we have the AIDA64 Engineer Read Suite with all tests except for the access test. This was due to the difference in metrics, the access results are in milliseconds and the rest are in Mb/s.

We get to see the claimed Read performance of 450MB/s, or at least just about. The results are solid, even the Buffered Read results despite being behind the other storage samples.

We are happy with these results even though they are synthetic, they are demonstrating the different ports, SATA and USB, and generations, such as the Western Digital 4TB Red HDD performance. The Lexar Portable SSD is a fast drive, and it is small and compact enough to fit in your pocket. At 62 grams, without the cable, it's also not going to cause a lot of backpack or suitcase issues. There are plenty of portable SSD's out here, and unless you are transporting a sizable back up, you need to consider an SSD external drive, and this is where the Lexar Portable SSD comes good. It's fast enough to be impressive and it's cheap enough to be affordable.
